Hero has increased the prices of both the variants of the Splendor iSmart BS6. While the bike was launched at Rs 64,900, it now starts from Rs 67,250. The front disc brake-equipped variant costs Rs 68,700 (all prices, ex-showroom Delhi).
The Splendor iSmart BS6 uses a new 113.2cc engine which is Hero’s first fuel-injected motor to get i3S stop-start technology. Torque has been increased by 10% throughout the rev range and final output now stands at 9PS and 9.89Nm. The diamond-type frame is also all-new and has resulted in a 36mm longer wheelbase. Ground clearance has increased by 15mm to 180mm without increasing seat height, while forward suspension travel is also up by 15mm.
Hero has also equipped the BS6 Splendor with a brighter headlight to aid night riding. The bike rolls on 18-inch alloy wheels front and rear and gets a 240mm front disc brake as well. The engine is mated to a 4-speed gearbox and suspension duties are handled by a conventional front fork and twin shocks. The Hero Splendor iSmart BS6 competes with the upcoming TVS Victor BS6. For the same price as the Hero Splendor iSmart 110, you can also get the Hero Passion Pro.
